Can my child place the OUCHY stickers on the dangerous objects if I’m with him?

Absolutely not! The idea of OUCHY is to create the mind-set that OUCHY means STAY AWAY and DON'T TOUCH! By allowing the child to place the stickers on the objects him or herself, the child may feel that it would be okay to touch the object again later when mom or dad isn't around to supervise. The child will think because he or she had been trusted to do so before that it is safe and they won't get into trouble THUS defeating the whole purpose of the OUCHY Child Safety Sticker Program and putting your child in
harm's way.
